Introducing colourful and aromatic bathsalts that recreate traditional Japanese hot springs.

Doki Doki Festival 2019

Last November Onsen Bathtime took our first trip to Manchester to attend our final event of 2019: the Doki Doki Festival of Japanese Culture.

With our help, Japanese Bathsalts and Bathbombs made their first appearance at the 2019 festival.

Since 2011, the Doki Doki Festival has become the main nexus of Japanese culture (both traditional and modern) in the north of England. Still a relatively small and independently-run festival, it takes place each year at the Sugden Sports Centre, where it houses an eclectic mixture of traders, artists, societies, musicians, and clubs.

2019 boasted a record 4,000 attendees to the event, and our bath salts proved to be a massive hit with the cosplaying crowds. We were lucky to have a stall just next to the main stage, where we had a great view of all the main acts, from taiko drummers, to martial arts displays, to cosplay dance performances.

We hope to attend the event once again in 2020 to continue to lend our support to the Japanese fan community based in the North of England.

Bestsellers on the day had a Forest theme, with natural greens and forest aromas:

Famous Onsen Bathsalts: Beppu (Moss & Wood), and Hakone (Fresh Grass & Herbs)

Green Forest Bathbombs: New Leaf Forest, and Dark Green Fores
